Mt. Fuji SDGs Declaration
1. Cleanup and beautification activities around roadside stations and in the Asagiri Plateau area
In order for customers and local residents to enjoy shopping comfortably, we regularly clean the store every morning and evening. In addition, we cooperate with nearby commercial facilities and participate in beautification activities on National Route 139 as a member of the Mt. Fuji Asagiri Plateau Landscape Management Council.
2. Garbage separation
With the start of plastic waste separation in Fujinomiya City, which will begin in April of the 6th year of Reiwa, we will proceed with the installation of dedicated trash cans. In addition, as in the past, we will thoroughly dispose of recyclable items and miscellaneous paper, and separate combustible waste.
3. Actively promote the employment of people with disabilities and the elderly
We are actively promoting the employment of people with disabilities and the elderly. In addition, we are striving to create an environment where people with disabilities and the elderly can work comfortably.
4. Child-rearing support and installation of baby posts
In order to encourage as many women as possible to work for as long as possible, we have established an environment where children can be taken care of in the facility. In addition, in cooperation with the Fujinomiya City Citizen Exchange Division and the NPO Maternal Power Improvement Committee, we have set up a nursing room "Mamaro" and a diaper vending machine as one of the "Fuji Miya Baby Stations," and provide hot water for milk in the cafeteria. In the future, we will consider setting up a "baby post" where children who have given birth but cannot be raised can be deposited.
5. Effective use of substandard vegetables
In addition to the unsold vegetables sold at roadside stations, we will also purchase vegetables from farmers who are not available for sale, and use them as livestock feed in cooperation with neighboring dairy farmers.
6. Establishment of various donation boxes and cooperation in volunteer activities
In addition to receiving donations to the Japan Red Cross Society on a regular basis, we have set up donation boxes for various volunteer activities such as guide dogs, support for disaster-stricken areas, and tuberculosis prevention. With regard to tuberculosis prevention, once a year, we provide the Shizuoka Prefectural Tuberculosis Prevention Association with a place for enlightenment activities in the facility.
7. Active use of environmentally-friendly packaging materials and containers
The plastic bags for customers at the shop are made of biomass materials, and customers are encouraged to use eco-bags. In addition, we use containers made from recycled paper for street sales.
8. Sponsorship of the traffic accident eradication campaign and the campaign to give yellow hats
We will carry out campaigns such as tire safety projects and crime prevention awareness activities using the "Hokomichi Project" using roadbeds in cooperation with related organizations as needed. In addition, we sponsor the "Yellow Hat Giving Campaign," which is said to be effective in preventing traffic accidents and other accidents, and provides an opportunity for new first-year students who are not yet accustomed to commuting to school to learn about the correct traffic rules, traffic manners, and dangers on the way to school.
9. Green regeneration project (restoration from artificial forests to natural forests)
Operating Company(share)Asagiri Rise, a subsidiary of Mt. Fuji, is working on a "green regeneration project" that promotes felling and replanting of cedar plantations and saplings with low pollen as a countermeasure against hay fever, which plagues many people.
10Cooperation in the sales of products of the nursery
We support the improvement of income, job satisfaction, and social participation of people with disabilities by selling interior goods made by users of the Type B Employment Support Facility "Ai no Oka" in Fujinomiya City, and the dried kikurage made at the Type A Employment Support Facility "IFU".
11As a station on the road for disaster prevention
As the only "Disaster Prevention Road Station" in Shizuoka Prefecture, we have formulated a BCP (Business Continuity Plan) and have concluded a disaster support agreement with Fujinomiya City. In the event of an emergency, the parking lot will also be used as a "disaster prevention base car parking lot" that serves as a base for wide-area disaster emergency measures.
